Social Responsibility Policy

At Gopher Supplies we are committed to conducting our business in a socially responsible and ethical manner.
We recognize our responsibility to contribute to the community that supports us and we do this in two main ways:

  • we seek to help young people establish themselves in the workplace; and
  • we actively support good causes through charitable donations.

In these difficult economic times, we seek to help young people develop the necessary skills in order to increase their chances of permanent employment through the provision of short term work placements and internships. These placements cover both young people leaving school by encouraging them to undertake apprenticeship training, as well as recent graduates who have yet to find work. Indeed, one of these work placement graduates was responsible for writing the code for much of the Gopher Supplies site!

In terms of charitable support, one of the major aims of Gopher Supplies is to support the less popular and well known charities, both with an aim of extending the amount of support they receive as well as bringing them to the attention of a wider public. More information about the charitable aims of Gopher Supplies can be found under Gopher's charities page.
